JAMES MATUSHESKI
James Matusheski is a multidisciplinary visual artist whose work blends graphic design, fine art, and photography. A 2011 graduate of the University of the Arts with a BFA in Illustration, James explores surreal themes rooted in the tension between nature and humanity. His imagery often features the personification of animals and meditations on finding solace in an industrialized world.
Guided largely by intuition, James works across a variety of media, allowing his process to remain fluid and exploratory. Outside the studio, he finds inspiration in climbing mountains and studying ancient civilizations—both of which echo the mythic and elemental undercurrents in his art.
James currently works as a graphic designer for Image One Industries and actively takes on commissioned fine art projects.
